Crazy Horse: The Strange Man of the Oglalas, by Mari Sandoz

Published in 1942, Crazy Horse is one of the best-known books written by Sandoz. More than a description of the life of an individual, Crazy Horse is an in-depth look at the culture and spirituality of the Oglala Sioux.

Activities to mark the 2007 celebration of One Book One Nebraska are being coordinated by the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at Chadron State College. These events include book discussion groups, resource guides, traveling exhibits and the Annual Conference of the Mari Sandoz Heritage Society to be held at Chadron State College March 29-31, 2007.

We hope that you help us celebrate and explore the work of one of Nebraska's great literary voices by participating in local community events throughout Nebraska related to Crazy Horse and One Book One Nebraska.
